Some thoughts about Starfire #9

Starfire is about to travel to another world once again.

Atlee has invited both Kory and Stella to her home but this trip could turn be much more dangerous than they expected once that a strange being starts threatening everyone.

This issue pretty much continues the usual tone of the series and that's simply great.

Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner bring a new chapter where they explore the relationships between the different characters including Kory and Sol in a romantic way, and Kory, Stella and Atlee in terms of their friendship. The conversations between the characters feel surprisingly real despite of the situations they face and makes you relate to them immediately.

The story progresses quite nicely too with different sub-plots being integrated into the issue that will most likely be expanded in upcoming installments. Plus, the worldbuilding is solid by reintroducing Atlee's world to the DCU and fans will be happy to see that is just the way they remember it.

Elsa Charretier becomes the ongoing artist for the series and her work is pretty good looking with a style reminiscent of Darwyn Cooke's being able to create expressive characters and solid storytelling moments.

Quite enjoyable issue, keep up the good work.
