Some thoughts about Doctor Fate #9

Doctor Fate's mission of healing the world continues.

Khalid is still handling his job at saving the planet from different disasters but the Helmet of Fate thinks that there even bigger challenges in his future.

Well, the story is still pretty much Paul Levitz' stuff.

What I mean by that is that the story continues to progress veeeeerrrrryyyyy slowly. There are some good aspects like how the rest of the cast continues to be fleshed out and that allows for a much richer read while the way how Khalid handles his skills is still interesting.

However, the pacing is kinda killing it for me at this point. I wish that there was more plot developments in each issue, it feels kinda repetitive seeing Khalid saving people without barely anything changing.

Sonny Liew continues to be the best aspect of this book thanks to his creative storytelling that makes the script much more compelling than it actually is. Every scene is wonderfully done.

I'm not hating this but there should definitely be more progress.
