Some thoughts about The Flash #48

The Flash will need to fight against the city he swore to protect.

The Gem Cities don't trust The Flash anymore and for that reason they have hired The Rogues to help them stop him. Now Barry will have to decide which is the best solution for this problem.

You know what? This actually wasn't bad.

Robert Venditti and Van Jensen deliver a new chapter where they focus on the ramifications of the last arc with the city not trusting their protector anymore. This is not a bad direction per se since is at least a logical development that plays with The Reverse-Flash's plans (stupid as they were).

The characterization is solid with every member of the cast being on-point. Even The Rogues act the way they should by trying to get the best from this situation and there's also a good surprise at the end when is revealed that Heatwave is actually alive after his apparent death in Forever Evil: Rogue's Rebellion.

Jesus Merino handles the artwork and is actually pretty decent. His artstyle is not as kinetic as Booth's but is at least more consistent in terms of character expressions.

Decent I would say overall but at this point we need something new.
