Some thoughts about Green Lantern #49

The terrorist attacks are increasing and Hal Jordan will need to find where the next one will be.

Sonar is causing fear around the nation and things are about to get worse unless Hal is able to stop his plans.

A fitting conclusion for this little story.

Robert Venditti continues his work in the title by bringing a new chapter where he focuses on the development that Hal has been receiving recently. One of the strongest aspects of this book are still the family dynamics between Hal and his brother and how understandable it is.

Sonar remains as an interesting reinvention and his level of threat is bigger than  ever. The way how things conclude is pretty logical based on everything that has been happening.

Also, is good to see how the themes of this story connect to the arrival of Parallax.

Martin Coccolo handles the artwork for most of the issue and it has a pretty appealing style with expressive characters and detailed action. Billy Tan contributes with the last page which is also good looking.

Solid issue, hope that the next encounter is even better.
