Something happened between Val-Zod and Kara.
Batman is currently facing Val for the murder of Terry Sloan but he will soon learn the truth about what made him distance himself from the team.
Holy frikking crap, this book turned awful faster than I could have ever imagined!
Sure, the previous issues went from mediocre to bad due to a complete failure in execution but now is not only the pacing that is a problem, is also the characterization.
In a segment that takes place in the past we learn that Val and Kara have ended their relationship because Terry Sloan revealed that Val was apparently indirectly responsible for Kal-El, Superman's death and Kara immediately hated him so much that she broke up with him and even forgot to capture Sloan.
Letting aside the fact that Sloan is not trustworthy at all, this paints Kara as incredibly stupid and weak in terms of character for ignoring her whole responsibility simply because she just discovered that her boyfriend apparently has been lying to her.
Of course, Val doesn't come clean from this due that he now is apparently so obsessed about this that he's constructing the image of Kara in stone. This is getting unintentionally and seriously creepy.
The rest of the characters still behave pretty awkwardly due that they're really prompted to fight without any justifiable reason to do so. "Society" my ass.
Jorge Jimenez continues on art duties and his work is actually getting better with beautiful panels and characters. Only good thing about the issue.
This is terrible and I can't believe they ruined the whole Earth 2 franchise by giving it to someone so incompetent.
