Who are the Martian Manhunter?
A police detective, a thief, a little girl and a Martian will have to face the upcoming invasion that is threatening to destroy everything while at the same time learning more about themselves.
Well, this series continues the same way I suppose.
Rob Williams delivers a new chapter of this sci fi mistery by revealing some aspects of J'onn J'onnz abilities like how he's apparently to separate in multiple beings while also having different personalities. The sense of identity is a strong recurring theme and it's certainly exploited adequately, especially from Daryl's perspective.
Then again, the dialogue can still be pretty awkward by trying to sound overly profound or bizarre. In many instances it seems like writer tries to imitate Grant Morrison's style and the only thing he accomplishes is to look forced and pretentious (which again, is one of Morrison's flaws but he tries to balance it a bit sometimes).
Eddy Barrows remains in charge of the pencils and his work is still really good with a lot of emphasis in the presentation and interesting storytelling techniques.
Flawed but still entertaining. The story and premise are interesting, I just wish the execution was a bit better.
