Dick has just returned to Gotham City but he wasn't expecting to find Clark of all people. However, there's not a lot of time to remember the good old days since they both have a common enemy who is going after them.
This Annual is once again, a perfect example of what this series represents.
Tim Seeley and Tom King deliver an one-and-done story that actually follows the main plot that they have been developing for a while. The encounter between the protagonists of this chapter is pretty appropriate due that the authors play with their similarities in a way that make a lot of sense, especially when they compare themselves to Batman.
It was also good to know that some of their history is still intact like how Superman inspired Dick to get a new identity and the ramifications of such event. Speaking of events, the reason for this particular event is pretty logical considering what has been happening in the previous issues.
Alvaro Martinez is in charge of the pencils this time and his work is pretty solid with a clean style that makes all the characters look good while the storytelling remains solid.
Entertaining installment, makes me wish for more like this.
