The truth continues to be unveiled.
Clark is still dealing with the ramifications of his identity being exposed to the world and now he's being the target of different kind of villains. The worst thing however, is that his loved ones are also in danger.
Gene Luen Yang's run goes one and sadly I'm still not impressed.
He continues to develope the story about what happened since Clark's secret was revealed, the problem is that is not particularly great. Some of the villains show some personality but aside from that, they're still quite generic and don't present a decent threat. Some of Clark's old friends have now become criminals due that his life as Superman hurted them somehow which is so cliche and predictable that I wish the author would have gone for another route.
Perry White also acts a bit out of character due that he easily dismisses Clark because he was shot. Now, there might be some justification behind it but it happens so quickly and so abruptly that it just makes you scratch your head. Lois's portrayal is pretty inconsistent too due that she apparently has no idea how to help Clark and her actions could make things even worse.
The dialogue is nothing to write about either and some lines are downright awkward.
John Romita Jr. remains in art duties and his work is kinda rushed this time with some characters and scenarios lacking details.
Yeah, this is pretty mediocre. Still don't like where it's going.
