Aquaman is about to get in bed with the enemy.
Arthur and Mera have been at odd since he was accused of betrayal and despite that they're ready to make peace, things are actually going to become worse.
Well, this is a Cullen Bunn book all right.
What does make me say that? Well, for one I'm going full SPOILERS here.
Arthur and Mera have sex but as we learned in the previous issue, the Mera here is actually her sister Siren.
So technically Arthur has just been raped.
Which is something that also happened to Lobo in his own title, another series written by Bunn.
What makes me worry is that Bunn didn't exactly handled that particular plot-point well in Lobo so I'm afraid he's not going to do a good job with the subject here. It's probably going to be ignored and forgotten instead of actually exploring the problematic implications this brings.
The story itself is not really bad since the characterization is solid for the most part but is pretty short, a quite fast read.
Alec Morgan handles the layouts while Jesus Merino and Art Thibert finish the work and the result is solid with some interesting, although at times creepy, character models.
Yeah, I'm kinda worried about this now, not expecting much.
