Kyle Rayner is about to succumb to his own fears.
Kyle and Princess Kalista are currently imprisoned together by the Omega Men, or at least that's what Kyle thinks, and they will have no choice but start to open up to each other and reveal their biggest concerns.
I'm sorry to say that this didn't work out for me once again.
There are some things I'm not really fond of and one of them is neglecting characterization just because writers want to push a theme and that's sadly what's happening here to Kyle Rayner.
The Kyle who appears here is someone who is really insecure of his own abilities and role as a Green Lantern, someone who seems pretty new to his job and hasn't experienced anything to make his personality change and that's simply not Kyle. Kyle has gotten over all those things years ago so him showing a lack of confidence at a time like this feels completely wrong and seems to be only because this is the role he needs to fulfill.
The rest of the issue is not so bad since we have a bit more insight in Kalista's psyche and all of it seems to be following a plan both in story and about the construction of such story.
Toby Cipress is in charge of the artwork this time and his work is sadly not as good as we what we usually see in this book, the characters look awkward at times with bad proportions. However, he manages to follow the presentation just fine.
Mixed thoughts about this one, I suppose fans of this title will still like it but fans of Kyle, I don't know.
