Some thoughts about New Suicide Squad #12

The Suicide Squad is worse than ever.

Black Manta has been completely brainwashed by the terrorist organization that has trapped them and their only way to escape is to work together. It might be harder than they think obviously.

This is the definition of a mixed bag.

For one, Sean Ryan actually does a kind of good job when presenting some of the dilemmas that a few of characters like Deadshot are having and how he uses his personal experience to face them.

Harley Quinn receives a pretty enjoyable characterization at the beginning that is completely ruined at the end due to sheer incompetency.

Black Manta's portrayal makes a bit of sense but is just a terrible representation of the character as a whole.

The way how the terrorist group plans to achieve their objective could have been interesting if only they didn't present it in such an uninteresting way.

Philippe Briones is still in charge of the art and his work is pretty good with expressive and good looking characters, the storytelling is solid too.

Other than that, yeah, I can't safely recommend this chapter to anyone once again.
