The Darkseid War is about to cause the most unlikely calamities.
Wonder Woman knows that she needs to face both Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor no matter the possibilities of victory. However, the whole conflict could prove to be bigger than they imagined and one of the most powerful beings in universe might fall.
Well, this was certainly a surprising turn of events.
Geoff Johns continues the biggest story in the DC universe of this year by focusing on every single aspect of what makes this event great. Being either the characterization or plot-progression, this issue brings everything.
The character dynamics are quite well-developed with interesting conversations between Lex Luthor and a corrupted Superman who finally says what everybody was thinking to Batman and Green Lantern's portrayals to the ultimate conflict between Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor, you will definitely get a great set of portrayals.
The story continues satisfactorily with classic reintroduction of mythos from the New Gods and how they connect them to the DCU. Also, the last page promises big ramifications definitely.
Jason Fabok delivers one of his strongest works in art duties with every page showcasing a strong scene with the action being perfectly depicted and quite fitting for the scale of this event.
Excellent issue, really excited for the next one.
