Ms. Marvel's brother is in danger.
Aamir has been kidnapped by Kamala's ex-crush and he's ready to making an Inhuman just like them. However, Kamala is not willing to let any member of her family in danger not even in the end of the world.
Okay, this worked for the most part.
G. Willow Wilson delivers a new chapter in this Secret Wars tie-in story by still not forcing the event into the series and again, this is for the better. The writer continues the plot from the last issues where Aamir is apparently going to become an Inhuman but she takes it in an unique way due to his actual reaction to having superpowers and how he was not willing to let this whole situation put him against his sister...
... And then he said this to the evil ex-crush: "If you think you can sashay off into the sunset 'cause you're a guy and nothing is ever your fault well you're incorrect".
Yeah, I have been talking several times in the past about how this kind of topics should be better implemented into the story, you know, the subtle way. However, here the author is basically forcing this particular line into the story and is so out of place that it just makes you say:"Where the hell did that come from?". Is so in your face that it just takes you out of the story.
Nonetheless, the story progresses satisfactorily and there's even a surprise at the end that might change the whole dynamic of the series.
Adrian Alphona is in art duties and my God, he rocks here. The expressions that Kamala shows after saving his brother are hilarious and the storytelling is precise. Simply wonderful.
Yeah, this is a pretty good issue aside from nitpicks. Well done.
