Some thoughts about Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #45

The most incompetent Decepticons are back.

The Scavengers had their own share of adventures but now they will be forced to try to make a living one way or another and that could include selling one of their own.

I think I have repeated this a few times already but the first page where the adventures of this group are revealed was fantastic.

The rest of the story works solidly too as James Roberts focuses on this group of ex-Decepticons who try to live in an universe post-war and they're not very successful about it which is especially frustrating to their leader Krok. I especially like the kind of "everyman" portrayal the characters receive and makes you relate to them immediately.

The character development progresses in an interesting way with some of the members of the cast presenting some interesting aspects like Misfire and his dynamic with Grimlock. Speaking about the plot, it was a surprise to see that guy at the end. Everything is told with a great sense of humour and self-awareness.

Alex Milne returns to pencils and his work is beautiful as ever with every character looking expressive and the scenarios being quite detailed.

Pretty fun read, hope these guys manage to survive the next issue.
