Some thoughts about Green Lantern #41

Hal Jordan is a renegade again but is it all what it seems?

Hal is currently on a mission using the most dangerous weapon in the universe: Krona's Gauntlet but now he's just figured that he might have never left the Green Lantern Corps.

This issue marks yet another new direction for the title, does it delivers.

Well, so far so good I would say.

Robert Venditti brings an interesting opening chapter for this new storyline where he focuses on the new status quo for Hal and it certainly seems intriguing. The author explores different alien races while at the same time introducing new characters to the supporting cast and hopefully they will prove to be compelling over the course of this arc.

The character work continues to be quite strong with Hal acting the way he should and even the new members from his group showing enough personality. Plus, the ending seems to explain a lot of things about the current direction of the GL line.

In terms of the artwork, Billy Tan shows a quite strong effort thanks to the detailed alien and construct designs and solid storytelling overall.

Solid beginning, hope that the following issues are also as good if not better.
