A planet is about to crash to Earth but that's not the only thing that Ms. Marvel has to worry about.
Kamala has been suffering a lot due to the recent events including her most recent crush becoming a supervillain who is decided to hunt her own family to get what he wants. If Kamala wants to stop him she will need the help of the person she admires the most.
Secret Wars tie-in but not really and it works great that way.
G. Willow Wilson delivers yet another chapter where she plays with the ramifications of the recent storyline where Kamala escaped of a group of Inhumans who are recruiting people of their own kind. The plot takes an interesting twist when Kamran goes for a member of Kamala's family and will hopefully present a compelling outcome in future issues.
As I said, this is barely connected to Secret Wars since there are just a couple of mentions about what's happening in that event here and this allows for this book's own story to keep progressing. The characterization remains strong with Kamala showing some pretty natural responses based on what's currently happening.
Also, the last page sure was exciting.
Adrian Alphona handles the artwork once again and his work is still as beautiful as ever with gorgeous characters and fantastic storytelling skills.
Excellent issue and it makes me want to check the next one already.
