The Combiner War has ended and now the real conflict is about to start.
Prowl has become more and more dangerous with each new decision he has taken and Optimus is finally decided to confront him personally. Their battle could decide the future of Cybertron.
As an epilogue, I must say that this issue has worked better than many of the chapters from Combiner Wars, at least in a personal level.
The confrontation that John Barber has been preparing since the beginning of his work in this title is finally here. Optimus and Prowl fight in a battle to death where both of them say all the things they wanted to say to each other for a while. The character work is quite strong and logical showing how right both protagonists are at talking to each other, it's an immensily satisfying interaction.
The rest of the issue is focused on Arcee and Galvatron and their segment of the story that will most certainly continue to develope over upcoming issues but really, the highlight has been Optimus Vs. Prowl and that's where it succeeds the most.
Andrew Griffith is in charge of drawing the segments focusing on Arcee and Galvatron while Livio Ramondelli works on the sections focusing on Optimus and Prowl. Both artists do a really good job at depict the different parts of the story by showing different styles in each one.
Great issue and it actually makes me excited for the future of the characters.
