GODS WITH MACHINE GUNS PEOPLE!
Al Ewing arrives with a quite fun premise about the battle between the different Gods from Asgard that obviously and fortunately doesn't take itself too seriously. The author is clearly having a lot of fun with the concept while at the same time confronting the true nature of the old Loki and how he doesn't really have a place in today's stories.
Plus, the author also focuses on Verity and her own story before meeting Loki. It creates an interesting background for her abilities and how they connect her to the current situation.
Lee Garbett remains in art duties with expressive and beautiful characters while also delivering strong action scenes and layouts.
Great issue, highly enjoyable.
