The most difficult battle of Midnighter's life has just started.
Prometheus has been manipulating Midnighter all this time to get an advantage in killing him and now Lucas will be forced to face him withouts his full capabilities.
I have been anticipating this issue since the last one and I'm happy to say that it didn't disappoint.
Steve Orlando continues his story immediately after the last chapter just when Lucas' lover being revealed to be Prometheus who has spent all this time finding a way to defeat him. The characterization for both hero and villain is perfectly done based on what we already know about them and is good to know that Prometheus conserves the original motivation that Grant Morrison gave him when he was created.
The battle is action-packed with both characters showing all the abilities they possess and using them in creative ways. The conclusion ends-up being the best scenario that you would expect and it presents a promising future for the title.
ACO and Hugo Petrus share art duties and the result is a consistent look over the course of the issue with quite inventive storytelling that gets the best from every scene.
Excellent installment and quite a nice way to put an end to this initial story.
