Some thoughts about Dark Knight III: The Master Race #2

Batman has been captured but which one?

Carrie Kelley has been caught by the law but this might not last for long. Meanwhile, The Atom will realize that by trying to help the city of Kandor, he might have commited the biggest mistake of his life.

This long-awaited story continues and I still think is okay but not particularly impressive.

Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello work together in another chapter where they reveal a bit of the events that happened after that last volume although "reveal" might be a bit of stretch considering that what is told here might not be true. The story still has some solid character moments though. My favorite segment is about The Atom and how his story started to unfold in a surprising way and will most likely present huge ramifications for the main plot. Andy Kubert's artwork continues to be adequate for this series and manages to reminisce a lot of Miller's own storytelling techniques.

There's a second section focusing on Wonder Woman and her daughter, Lara. Is not really important for the main story aside from showing some character moments and is weaker in comparison to the last one. Eduardo Risso's artwork was pretty good though, nice character models.

Overall, not as strong as the previous chapter which I didn't even think it was spectacular but gets the job done.
