Some thoughts about Earth 2: Society #7

The Society is in danger.

Doctor Impossible is ready to reshape the world at his will and he's going to start with Green Lantern unless the rest of the Wonders manage to stop him.

Yep, this is the end people. Daniel H. Wilson's run on the franchise concludes here, it has been both a terrible and stupid ride so does the author manages to outdone himself?

Well, this follows the same suit as far as awful writing goes.

You want your emotionless Alan who you don't care about? You have him.

You want a Flash who is a complete idiot? You have him.

You want a Power Girl who acts irrationally because her boyfriend kinda lied to her? You frikking have her.

There are other examples about how the author get these characters wrong like when Helena reunites with Lois and huges her while telling her that she should have never wanted the old Earth 2 back (and I completely disagree with that sentiment). This would have been a touching moment if it wasn't for the fact that just a minute ago Helena was ready to betray and destroy everything.

What else? Oh yeah! SHE DIDN'T HAVE A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH LOIS TO BEGIN WITH! That was Kara's thing.

If you ask about the story, there isn't any whatsoever. The heroes just work together and quickly defeat the mad Jimmy Olsen while Wilson makes a reference at the end about a Justice Society that nobody would care about because he has done more damage to the name than anybody else.

Jorge Jimenez and Alisson Borges share art duties and the result is kinda awkward due that the pacing and storytelling is a bit of a mess.

Yeah, nothing surprising here. I'm just glad that is over.
