Some thoughts about Justice League: Darkseid War: Lex Luthor #1

Darkseid is dead, who else but Lex Luthor is worthy of taking his place?

Apokolips needs a New God and it has chosen Luthor but he might not be ready for the job due to his own story.

I thought this was a nice read as a whole.

Francis Manapul handles Superman's counterpart this time and he does it by exploring more about Lex's past as well as how he deals with this kind of situations. Is a compelling study about his own character overall and it certainly provides some insights about his mentality as well as how he differentiates from Superman.

The ending is also something that will most likely be continued in the future and it seem to be an exciting plot-point.

On the other hand, I feel like this was a pretty short read. It offered enough good moments but in terms of plot and content it was lacking, I was wishing a bit more.

Bong Dazo is in charge of the art and his work is pretty good with a detailed style that creates nice expressions for the all the character while storytelling remains clear.

Solid but short chapter, definitely needed a bit more content.
