Some thoughts about Cyborg #5

The creatures that are threatening humanity are about to make a final strike.

Cyborg has been using his tech all this time to stop the monsters who almost destroyed him and now he's ready to face them no matter the consequences.

Well, this is still a pretty derivative read overall.

David Walker brings a new chapter where he dedicates most of it to explain how these monsters work and their objectives which doesn't present a particularly interesting issue since these beings are not particularly interesting. For that fact the story barely progresses and it's borderline boring.

The characterization is not much better since I don't really like how stupid Cyborg sounds all of sudden. It seems like the writer is desperately trying to give him his own unique voice but it seems pretty forced since it comes out of nowhere with him saying dumb catchphrase after dumb catchphrase every frikking time which actually makes him less of a character and more of a caricature.

I'm not buying this whole "romance" between Sarah and him either.

Ivan Reis handles the layouts with Felipe Watanabe and Daniel HDR finishing the job and the result is still a good looking work with beautiful characters and strong action scenes.

Other than that, this is quite mediocre and not worth bothering with.
