Lobo will have to fight his inners demons before facing Hal Jordan.
Lobo has been acting erratic for a while after being exposed to a strange drug and now Green Lantern and him will be forced to battle to the death and it will be most likely mean the end of Lobo's life as he knows it.
Well, the end of this terrible series is here and it actually gives me some mixed feelings.
For one, there's actually some decent character work here for Lobo since he's forced to fight his own mistakes and they end-up hunting him just as much as he hunts others. This is an interesting contrast that could have been promising...
... If only this wasn't the end of Bunn's work on the character, as far as I know this is the last time that Bunn will write Lobo considering that his only DC work at the moment is Sinestro which means that he's letting other authors handle this broken version of the character for them to fix them.
This creates an unsatisfying conclusion since there's no actual closure for the protagonist. The story is also pretty weak and it actually makes me wonder what was the point of having Hal here if he wasn't going to be portrayed in an interesting way (then again, that has happened to a lot of other characters in this book).
Robson Rocha and Ethan Van Sciver handle the pencils and their work is certainly good looking with powerful action scenes with Van Sciver's work shining the most.
Mediocre conclusion overall but at least is over now.
"broken version of the character" The character was hardly "broken".
ResponderBorrar"it actually makes me wonder what was the point of having Hal here" I take it you missed the ending of last issue where it specifically made clear that Lobo was going after targets and hunters that were deemed off-limits.
