Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #34

The final battle against the First Born is upon us, but Wonder Woman will have to survive before her encounter.

Diana has suffered a mortal wound but not even the presence of death will be enough to her from fighting. The forces of Olympus are at war and now she will have to face yet another God if she wants to succeed.

The penultimate chapter from Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang's legendary run on this series and it's great to see it back despite that it will be only for a short time.

Azzarello is tying-up most of the plot points he introduced during the course of the series especially based on the character work he developed. The relationships between all the members from the cast is wonderfully depicted and it follows a quite logical path considering everything what happened.

It's great to see Diana being portrayed this well too. She's clearly not a perfect being but she's also understandable in her doubts and feeling, I must say that this is one of her greatest representations ever.

Cliff Chiang is back on art duties and I'm glad he is since this issue was so wonderfully done. Every scene was beautiful and the action looked excellent.

Excellent issue, the end is near but let's enjoy it while we can.
