Some thoughts about Batman #35

The Endgame is here for Batman.

Bruce is still recovering after the last terrible battle and despite that he has deserved a bit of a break, his own friends won't let him. Can he defeat the most people beings on earth'

This month certainly marked several new beginnings hasn't it? Some of them worked and some of them didn't, it makes you wonder if Batman #35 actually does.

Endgame has been teased for a while as the new big storyline for this series from the creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. It has been hyped to points that I haven't seen in a while but does it deserves all the hype?

Well, so far so good.

Snyder focuses on the big map as usual and presents us a story that starts automatically with a bang by putting Batman in one of his most difficult battles against the Justice League. These are pretty good scenes that characterize all the members from that team pretty well.

However, I have to say that my favorite moments were the most personal ones between Bruce, Alfred and Julia which serve to really good interactions and characterizations for all of them.

Also, the villain seems more dangerous than ever.

Greg Capullo is on art duties and his work continues to be one of the most important factors from this book thanks to his great storytelling skills and beautiful style.

The backup story is written by James Tynion IV focusing on the villain in question and how a different cast of insane criminals start to depict him, it's really well-done. The art is brought by Kelley Jones and is pretty appropriate for this section thanks to the dark and creepy tone.

Pretty solid issue, I don't think is quite impressive yet but is definitely worth checking out.
