Some thoughts about Justice League United #5

The new member of the Justice League United will finally have to deal with her destiny.

Miyahbin has been ignorant of her heritage for too long and know she needs to learn that she's not the first of her family to get such abilities. This is not their only problem though since the alien child they saved could be the end of everything.

A stand-alone issue that also serves as the beginning of something bigger.

This issue finally focuses on one of the most hyped characters from this series. Miyahbin's backstory is revealed and explores some interesting aspects of legacy and worldbuilding that could be further expanded in the future.

Jeff Lemire once again demonstrates his skills at developing all the personalities from this group as well as the interactions between them. The future will bring a lot of surprises of course.

Yeah, what I just said is not that much of a spoiler, you know what's coming.

Timothy Green II's artwork is solid but I've honestly seen better from him. At times it looked a bit rushed and overly deformed, but it still maintained a distinctive style.

Yet another solid issue. High hopes for the upcoming storyline.
