Some thoughts about Superman #35

The Men of Tomorrow are not prepared for what's coming.

The Machinist is trying to escape from both Superman and Ulysess but that might be the least of their concerns right now since a mysterious figure is apparently manipulating the events and Ulysses has decided to create the planet his parents wished for.

This story continues to progress at a pretty good pace.

Geoff Johns delivers yet another chapter where he focuses on the differences between Clark and Ulysses and the contrast between their personalities and origins. This becomes even more obvious towards the end since one of them takes a pretty interesting course of actions that will most certainly create intriguing ramifications.

I also loved how the side-characters receive attention here. Lois Lane, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Ron Troupe, Steve Lombard all of them get a few but good scenes that concentrates on their characterization.

Plus, is pretty clear that there's a bigger plot going on and I'm really excited to see what it creates.

John Romita Jr. continues on art duties and his work is actually more refined than in the previous chapters with solid character models and an overall better executed style.

Good issue and I hope that this creative team continues on this direction.
