After a strange event, the Justice League Dark has been separated and Zatanna is currently lost in a place that is both different but familiar for her and she will need to escape despite of her own suffering.
This story apparently is one of the ramifications of what's going to happen in the Annual next week but it still delivers a solid tale.
The story focuses on Zatanna this time and how she's currently in a mysterious world that makes her encounter one of her loved ones. The plot explores a lot of her past as well as her progression as a character. I personally really enjoy these kind of issues where they concentrate in one of the members from the team, they create great opportunities for characterization.
I can't say too much without spoiling the story but the worldbuilding and ideas are really compelling.
Tom Derenick is on artwork and his style is solid, he's able to depict all the scenes competently and the characters look nice.
Yet another good issue. Let's see what happens in the Annual next week.
