Some thoughts about Justice League United Annual #1

The Justice League United is not prepared for one of the most terrible threats they're gonna face.

After they saved Ultra from the hand of Byth, the team decided to keep him for his own sake. However, The Legion of Super-Heroes believe he will become a danger for the future and they could be right.

This Annual marks the beginning of a new storyarc for this series and it definitely started greatly.

Jeff Lemire continues his take on this title by creating not only excellent worldbuilding as you would expect from him but also developing a lot of the members from the cast as well as their relationships between them. It seems like everything is part of a big plan and it actually makes you wonder what's going to happen next.

Plus, the writer manages to create enjoyable dialogue and interactions for all the characters which reminds you that this is a pretty fun book.

Legion of Super-Heroes fans will be glad to see the classic team back although they might not be the ones from the current future.

Neil Edwards is on art duties and his work is excellent. He creates a lot of impressive scenes and his characters look beautiful.

Overall, this was a fantastic issue that offered a lot of content. Nice read.
