Some thoughts about Green Arrow #10

How can Green Arrow save Arsenal?

Roy is currently trapped in Sanctuary once again and is up to Ollie and his family to help him and remind him how much they care for him. However, Sanctuary will cause problems for everyone once again.

A new chapter arrives and quite honestly, I think is one of the most enjoyable ones so far.

Joshua Williamson continues this new arc by exploring by reinforcing the idea of the Arrow family. First of all, you must know that there's a lot of fanservice, especially in the return of fan favorite characters like Arrowette and especially Mia Dearden and while I have a few complaints about how out of nowhere Mia was reintroduced (just explaining that the reboots took her away), I do like having her back and in a better way than whatever the hell Andrew Kreisberg tried to do during his awful second run. Not to mention that I like the interactions between the rest of the characters like how Connor could call Emiko his "aunt".

The best part for me is the one focusing on the relationship with Roy. Once again, Williamson incorporates basically every part of the character's history including from his creation to even his New 52 time with Red Hood's Outlaws. However, the most emotional moment was the encounter between Ollie and Roy in which Oliver calls him, not his sidekick nor his little brother but his son which is as appropriate as you can get and makes me think that all the problems with Sanctuary could have been solved if Ollie would have done that in the first place (then again, is not like Tom King cared about characterization in Heroes in Crisis). Speaking of which, I still don't know what will be the point of Sanctuary here but let's see where it goes.

Sean Izaakse and Tom Derenick handle the art and they maintain a consistent style during the read with expressive characters and clear storytelling.

Solid chapter. Hope things stay this way.
