Some thoughts about Runaways #2

Can the Runaways be reunited?

Gert has come back to life only to find that everything is pretty different and her friends are not together anymore and there might be even worse things coming.

A little better than the last one but not by much.

Rainbow Rowell delivers a new chapter where she takes her time to explain the current status of the team and yeah, it can be a bit of an info dump. I mean, this is classic "use the new/returning character as a mean for exposition" but still this was quite heavy in that regard. Mind you, I do appreciate it a little since I've lost track of this team for a while so it was nice to know more about what happened to the other characters but a "show, don't tell approach" would have been more appropriate.

That being said, the characterization is accurate for the most part and Gert is given a lot of respect here while also being reminiscent of her appearances before her death. Not to mention that this issue did much more than the last one at creating sub-plots for upcoming chapters.

Kris Anka's artwork is solid and definitely fitting for this kind of book thanks to his expressive and detailed characters.

Not bad but there's still room for improvement and I hope the next one fulfills that.
