Some thoughts about Secret Origins #6

Learn about the origins of these heroes from a new perspective.

What made Wonder Woman leave Paradise Island? What is the thing that gave purpose to Deadman's existence? What is Sinestro's biggest fear?

This has been one of the my most anticipated issues from this series just for the first story and I'm glad to say that it didn't disappoint on those terms.

Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang are in charge of the story focusing on Diana's early years and is told in the same style that they used in the zero issue from her own series, is pretty Bronze Age-inspired and it works quite well. Not to mention that it gives a better insight about Diana's relationship with Aleka and Steve Trevor. Goran Sudsuka handles the art and his work is quite fitting for this kind of story and tone, just beautiful.

J.M. DeMatteis handles the Deadman section and he touches a lot fo the points he developed in Justice League Dark and exploring more of Boston's past and his relationship with his parents as well as the nature of his abilities, is really well-executed overall. The art brought by Kevin Stokes is not that appealing for me but is kinda appropriate for this tale.

The final story concentrating on Sinestro is delivered by Cullen Bunn and he uses some of the plot-points created in the one-shot from Villains Month and he uses some new aspects from Sinestro's past and gives a better glance about his motivations, it works solidly. Igor Lima delivers the pencils and his work is pretty good thanks to a clear and detailed style.

Overall, I would say I liked Wonder Woman's story the best followed by Deadman's and Sinestro's on third. Thsi was a quite good issue.
