Some thoughts about Superman/Wonder Woman #12

Can Superman and Wonder Woman's relationship survive after everything that happened?

Clark and Diana believe they can have a brief moment of peace after the constant attacks they have been suffering but even the most common things could turn into something terrible and that could be enough to ruin the love between them.

The final issue from Charles Soule's run. After being forced into a long crossover, the author is back to tell a more personal story and is great to see that he actually succeeds.

The story is focusing in the ramifications of the Doomed event but just barely, it's mostly a tale that concentrates in both Clark and Diana and how they interact with each other after surviving.

This also creates a pretty inventive way to present a threat that started as a little plot-point at the beginning of the run. The best part for me was that Soule really knows how to portray a romantic relationship in both its best and worst aspects, they're both going to have a discussion but it feels quite real.

Jack Herbert and Cliff Richards share the pencils and they work is beautiful in their respective ways but I must say that Herbert's was my favorite due to his gorgeous and expressive characters.

A great conclusion to a great run. It's a shame that we didn't have more of this.
