Someone is hunting the New Bloods.
A man named Duncan had to survive one of the first attacks of the alien invasion and is decided to not let anyone suffers what he did. Meanwhile, lots of people around the town start to reveal their powers in the worst ways possible.
I feel like this is one of the most underrated DC series currently.
With all of the Rebirth titles going around, is pretty easy to ignore this book and is a real shame. J.T. Krul brings a new chapter where he continues to develope the different characters and their abilities. The best thing about this is how the writer manages to make each one of them different in their personalities while their interactions remain entertaining in several ways.
Krul just need a few scenes to cement the relationships between the cast since they all work pretty nicely while the new characters who appear are also developed in a few panels but makes you understand their motivations. The story and horror theme of the book continues its path satisfactorily too.
V. Ken Marion continues in art duties and his work is actually improving with more detailed character models and strong effects.
More people should check this book, the characters are much more interesting than their original incarnations.
