The Flash can't process what is happening now.
Wally West has returned to Barry's life but that's not the only strange thing since Barry is starting to have visions that are trying to warn him about a dangerous event.
Here we are people, a new beginning for the The Flash.
Joshua Williamson relaunchs the title where he focuses on explaining several of the things that have been happening during Barry's life up to this point including his backstory, his current life and the encounter with Wally which puts him in a new direction where he needs to start questioning everything. There are solid ideas here and there and I hope the writer manages to get the best of them in upcoming issues. The characterization also seems on-point with everyone in the cast being portrayed accurately.
The thing is that I don't feel anything particularly special yet. Some of the ideas are nice but we don't see anything quite intriguing yet. Plus, this is actually mostly a recap of what happened to Barry after the New 52 with a huge part of the issue devoted to the retelling of Barry and Wally's re-encounter which was already told (and in a more effective way) in DC Universe: Rebirth.
Speaking of which, the narration is not bad but is not really appealing. There's very little dialogue between the characters with more of the lines coming from Barry himself which can get a bit awkward and dull since it lacks the interaction between the characters.
Carmine Di Giandomenico's artwork is great. He really fits the kinetic nature of the character with a great sense of speed and he depicts the members of the cast in a detailed way.
I would call this decent but hope this improves during the next issues.
