Two Apocalypses are about to meet.
Evan has just found the being he fears the most during his young years and he's pretty surprised to see that they're more similar than he expected. However, dangers are still coming for him and Hank.
This little story continues and it still succeeds in what it tries to do.
Dennis Hopeless offers a new installment where he focuses on Evan and Apocalypse's character work and is really good in that regard. The author manages to explore more about the original Apocalypse's own personality and demonstrate that he's not as bad as some people think and maybe his future is based on other kind of circunstances.
The plot doesn't progress as much but the characterization and worldbuilding of the past compensate for it. Hopeless is able to bring a lot of entertainment thanks to the characters who appear here.
Mark Bagley remains in art duties and his work remains solid with expressive characters and decent storytelling.
Again, I don't mind how character-centric this series but I hope for more story progression in the next one.
