Some thoughts about Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #54

The war for survival continues and is get more and more difficult.

Megatron is still trying to figure if he wants to keep being a pacifist in this time of need but his doubts will have to disappear once that people in the Lost Light start dying.

First of all, I'm going to say some SPOILERS here.

James Roberts brings a new chapter from the last story of this Season by focusing on Megatron's dilemma about continuing his pacifist ways or returning to his old persona. Is an interesting segment that showcases a lot of characterization and is especially strong once that is revealed the true nature of the medicament he was taking to control his impulses. It demonstrates a lot of the growth the character has gained over the course of the story.

THEN AGAIN, here comes the biggest problem: Skids is the one who dies which is not something unsurprising since most people were predicting it, the problem is how it happens.

He starts to remember everything about his past with the D.J.D. but there's barely any moment to develope this since he immediately dies giving the crew a bigger push to survive (the crew having realized that they have gained superstrength just like Tailgate). This is a pretty weak way to end his life honestly, the guy didn't go out with a bang but with a whimper dying in a quite anticlimactic manner. The whole point of the cast gaining superpowers is a quite convenient solution for this conflict as well. None of this seems satisfying.

Alex Milne remains in art duties and his work is still one of the strongest aspects of the issue again with powerful and vibrant battles and detailed character expressions.

Other than that, yeah, not feeling this one and I'm not expecting much from the last chapter.
