Is time for the Dark Knight to strike back.
The Kryptonians are destroying the world so is up to the Justice League to stop them no matter their current state.
Okay, this issue worked a little better but I still think it lacks something.
Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello deliver a new chapter where they focus on a lot of the developments from the previous issues during the main segment and also the side-stories. Several of the classic characters from the Justice League appear where they start regaining strenght after their initial defeat. Their characterization is certainly adequate based on the vision that Miller himself created during previous works and some characters like Aquaman showcase a strong presence.
Some of the best moments come from Superman and Batman once that they decide to fight back and the cliffhanger at the end promises an entertaining final battle.
Andy Kubert handles the artwork here and is pretty solid, especially during the fight scenes since the artist manages to give it a great sense of scope.
The side-story on the other hand is not so good. Is about Lara and tries to give us a bit more insight in her character but I don't think it shows a lot about her and Miller's artwork is not much better since is pretty simplistic with a lack of backgrounds and rough character models.
Worthy for the main story but don't expect much beyond that.
