Swamp Thing will need to regain his body once again.
Alec is still trying to figure what turned his friend Matt Cable into the monster he is now and once that learns the truth, he will have no other choice but return to his own curse.
This miniseries is officially over and I'm happy to say that it exceeded my expectations.
Len Wein brings the final chapter where he explores the reasons behind Matt Cable's transformation into the evil being he is now and the twist is that he is actually no other person than Swamp Thing's oldest and most terrible enemy. While such surprise at the end might seem like it comes from nowhere, is still pretty interesting and Wein manages to get the dynamic between both characters pretty well.
The appearances of other members from the supernatural side of the DCU is well-executed aside from some moments that are a bit too old-school for their own good but at least such scenes are self-aware. The way how the evil Swamp Thing is defeated makes sense and manages to create a satisfying conclusion for the overall story (although there are a few loose threads like what happened to the monster from the beginning).
Kelley Jones remains in art duties and his work is still as appropriate as ever being able to depict bizarre and horrific creatures with a pretty distinctive style.
Pretty enjoyable overall, surprised about this.
