Who is Wonder Woman?
Lots of things have been happening in Diana's life, so many things that she is starting to doubt them and herself. Now, to uncover the truth, she will have to find the person who has been deceiving her all this time.
This is it people, the return of one of the best Wonder Woman writers is here.
Greg Rucka comes back to the the title and he's certainly decided to make a lot of changes to Wonder Woman, particularly her continuity. Playing with the whole idea of Rebirth, Rucka concentrates on questioning Diana's history as the God of War and everything else that happened since the beginning of the New 52 which creates a pretty interesting premise that works both as a plot and metacommentary (although I'm not particularly excited if he's going to retcon Brian Azzarello's run, I couldn't care less about Meredith Finch's though).
The upcoming issues are apparently going to be divided in two parts, one focusing on the plot that has just been created and the other exploring the character's origins which is a good idea considering this is a bi-weekly title with different artists so they can create a more consistent style. Some flaws I could note though, is that Rucka can get a bit heavyhanded with bthe "Truth" theme by repeating it constantly during the course of the story.
Matthew Clark and Liam Sharp share art duties and their work is pretty solid during their respective segments with expressive characters and good action scenes. I'm excited to see more of Sharp in the future.
An interesting beginning without a doubt. Hope the story unfolds nicely.
