Poison Ivy will have to fight for the sake of her family.
The person culprit of the murder of Pamela's mentor has revealed himself and now is after her children. Now, if she wants to defeat him she will need a liitle help.
Yet another miniseries is over and this yet another that never managed to fulfill its potential.
Amy Chu brings the final chapter of her story by finally revealing the person behind all the experiments and quite frankly is not that interesting. The mystery wasn't ever the focus of this book since it was a really simple one but the actual focus, Ivy's characterization and relationship with her children, wasn't also the best execution-wise. Pamela is in character but she doesn't show anything particularly deep about her personality while the dynamic with her family is not as strong as it could have been as I talked during the last issue.
Not only that but the ending comes a bit too abruptly with the enemy being quickly defeated and the sporelings leaving Ivy in an anticlimactic manner concluding this story in a pretty clunky way. One might think this might lead to a sequel somewhere but I'm not expecting much is is handled by the same writer.
Al Barrionuevo and Cliff Richards share the pencils and their work is solid with expressive characters and a consistent style.
Other than that, this series hasn't been anything more than mediocre. Hoping better things for the future.
