Someone is targeting Batman and his partners but who is it?
Bruce knows that he needs to trust other people to learn more about this mystery and he will have to ask Batwoman and several other people in Gotham to help him. However, they might not be enough.
A classic book is back to its old numering and it comes with an intriguing story to boot.
James Tynion IV opens his story featuring this interesting roster and gives a typical but logical reason for them to be together while also creating a mystery for them to uncover which obviously fits in this particular book. The characterization is solid with all of the members of the cast acting the way they should and Tynion seems to have a lot of respect for Batwoman especially which creates some good moments between Batman and her.
There's a lot of content during this issue while the plot moves at a nice pace while showing more hints about what the direction is.
What else? Oh yeah, Orphan is a stupid codename and I can't believe they're saying it seriously.
Eddy Barrows handles the artwork and is pretty solid, Barrows has a pretty dark style that fits the characters nicely while the action scenes are intense. The storytelling can be a bit awkward at times though.
Promising so far, hope to see more of the rest of the cast in the next one.
