The Green Lanterns will have to defend the Earth from the rage of the universe.
Simon and Jessica are handling a strange case were several victims have been missing and everything seems to be connected to one of the biggest threats from the universe.
Yet another proper beginning here.
Sam Humphries delivers the official first chapter of his story by focusing on the dynamic between the protagonists as well as creating the early development of the story. The characterization is accurate enough with both Jessica and Simon acting the way they should and thankfully, there's less forced conflict between them while showing a more understandable interaction. The dynamic between each one of them and the rest of the cast is also on-point.
Aside from that though, this is still not that interesting. Once again, the writing lacks the kind of uniqueness and personality that you would hope from this series. Characterization is okay, dialogue is okay, story is okay but they never become "great". Is pretty by the numbers in that regard never showing a style that one could appreciate.
Robson Rocha is in charge of the artwork and is pretty solid with expressive characters and intense action scenes.
Other than that, I wouldn't bother with this. Is sadly not that good and there are better books right now.
