Some thoughts about Red Hood and the Outlaws #12

The Outlaws are about to lose one of their own.

Bizarro is dying just at the worst time possible since Solomon Grundy has appeared to threaten his friend and that might push him into his final fight.

The end and the beginning at the same time.

Scott Lobdell brings the final days of Bizarro in a emotional opening chapter that has all the right beats. The character work is one of the strongest aspects once again due that you can feel the strong bond that all these characters share towards their friend and best of all is that you can actually buy it since you have seen all the build-up towards this intense moment.

The final scenes of Bizarro are equally as strong due that the writer introduces a logical antagonist for him along with solid scenes between the characters and a final page that makes a lot of sense considering the creation of Bizarro.

Dexter Soy returns to art duties and his work is still beautiful and perfectly depicts the scenes from the script in the most powerful way possible.

Great stuff, excited to see where the arc is going.
