Some thoughts about Gotham Academy: Second Semester #11

Olive is in peril.

Maps has decided to stop helping Olive after her brother was hurt. However, Damian Wayne might make her realize that her friend needs her now more than ever.

Penultimate chapter right here and so far is building up the finale nicely.

Becky Cloonan, Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kesrchl continue to close the doors of Gotham Academy by delivering a story full of the most important characters who appeared here. I have a few complaints about how Maps' character development went since it seems a bit odd that she's suddenly against Olive because her brother got hurt considering that a lot of things have happened to all of them already during the course of their history. That being said, the character work aside from that is pretty on-point.

That solid characterization and overall sense of fun is especially clear once that Damian enters into the picture. As fans of the book should know, Damian had an important role in the series every time he made a cameo and his relationship with Maps was pretty entertaining, this is emphasized here due to enjoyable relationship both have and how well they work together. Is going to be a shame if they never meet again when the series is over.

Adam Archer returns to art duties and his work is still appropriate for the book although this time the characters and style are not as polished as previous entries.

Still, pretty satisfying read with a lot of content. Can't believe is about to end.
