Can anyone fix Gotham City?
Gotham has been trying to help his home the best way he can but is not enough and Batman will soon realize that he has been wrong the whole time.
Well, while this issue presents some interesting stuff, Tom King's usual ticks ruin it a bit.
For one, the installment is all about how Gotham starts suffering due to the events of the last chapter thanks to the Psycho-Pirate and how he has been playing with his emotions, particularly fear. This is not a bad twist per se since it presents some interesting moments of characterization between him and Bruce.
The problem is that King goes all, you guess it, repetitive with the whole "fix" theme. There are several mentions of that single word during the course of the issue that simply breaks the pace of the story and makes it pretty annoying. Not only that but the dialogue can sound kinda awkward at times even without those mentions with the characters speaking in weird ways.
David Finch handles the artwork and is still consistent with expressive characters and solid storytelling.
Other than that, didn't like this one that much. Hope the following ones get better.
