Amanda Waller is ready to use all the criminals she has captured over the years in her favor without worrying at all for their sake and she believes this to is the only right decision.
The proper beginning of this series is here and sadly, is still not as impressive as I would hope.
Rob Williams brings a new chapter mostly narrated from Amanda Waller's perspective and focusing on her usual tactics. The cast consists mostly from characters from the recent movie so I would say this was mostly dedicated for that kind of audience in mind. The thing is that the story itself is not reaching any highs in terms of concepts, plot or characterization. To be honest, the whole execution feels a bit by the numbers while also being a quite quick read.
The dialogue can still be a problem with characters speaking in awkward manners and showing little lines that define their personality don't do much beyond that. Oh, and I didn't need to see Killer Croc throwing up, classy.
The art is handled by Jim Lee with an appropriate sense of scope, detailed environments and expressive characters. Although it pales in comparison with what comes after it.
There's a second story focusing on Deadshot and his relationship with both his job and daughter and is pretty on-point but once again, is not particularly impressive. Jason Fabok is in charge of the pencils and is by far the best part of the book with a pretty polished style and beautiful characters.
Not the best but not the worst, average overall.
