The heroz the world needs!
Sixpack is still lamenting the fact that his team, Secion 8, is a complete joke. However, he will soon realize that there a bigger things to worry about and maybe they will find a chance to prove themselves.
"Rasishm ish bad and superherosh are the answer!".
Aaaaaand the fact that Garth Ennis made fun of how preachy and overly silly O'Neil/Adams' Green Lantern and Green Arrow series was is enough to make me love this.
The good aspects don't end there though since this series continues with a lot of the plot-points from All-Star Section 8 (as ridiculous as that book was) with Dogwelder's fate being explored and despite of how impossible the idea of the character is, Ennis still finds a way to give him some humanity and serious moments.
Of course this wouldn't be a Garth Ennis book if he didn't make fun of superheroes. One would think that Sixpack himself is enough but we also see Catwoman, Power Girl and Starfire conforting Guts due that her husband Bueno Excellente is a goddamn cheater. This is fun enough as it is but Ennis makes Starfire especially stupid (mostly based on her original characterization I believe) which creates a lot of hilarious scenes.
Russ Braun handles the artwork and is wonderful. The man has a great skill at depicting expressions and comedic scenes which are perfect for this story in particular.
Immensily enjoyable. Hope to see more parodies.
