What is the relationship between Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor?
For over a decade there's something that has been connecting both Diana and Steve and once that they're both need help to find the truth, they will find a way to meet once again.
I think this worked a bit better than previous issues but some of the flaws remain.
Greg Rucka continues to develope his story about the present time where Diana tries to find who has been deceiving her all this time about her past. The mystery is slowly being revealed while presenting some scenes reminiscent of some pre-New 52 events which makes me believe that Rucka wants to re-establish that continuity. Mind you, I'm not sure if that's the best decision but we will see about the execution.
The connection between Diana and Trevor is deeply explored while developing a few other sub-plots and members of the cast. This allows for some interesting segments of characterization and quite the few feminist touches that while heavyhanded, I feel they get the job done (This is supposed to be a feminist book anyway).
The problem comes with some of the dialogue, I still can't stand Cheetah's dialogue with all the typical cat talk, is get pretty obnoxious pretty quickly. Plus, some of the lines refering to themes are overly blunt.
Liam Sharp's artwork is pretty strong in terms of character expressions and vibrant environments but it seemed a bit inconsistent at times. Some scenes looked like they were drawn by a different person.
Overall, this was solid and I hope to see more of this story being revealed soon.
